PSA COMMITTEES

Classroom Parent & Volunteers 

Recruits room parents for each class; organizes and trains volunteer Room Parents.  Assists with coordination of Staff Appreciation and other  School events.

Historian

Takes pictures at all PSA events; keeps a record of all PSA events for the year; updates the Historical Binder after each event.

Community Outreach & Resources 

Work with staff, student, and community groups to broaden student’s understanding of community needs by developing and/or assisting with various projects such as food drives and disaster relief throughout the year.

Fundraising

Coordinates all major school fundraisers; researches fundraiser ideas; works with fundraising companies; helps committees in forming goals and proposed calendar for the year; work with room parent coordinator and executive VP to recruit adequate volunteers at all fundraisers; make a report to the general membership after each event.

Communications

The committee collects articles from students, staff and PSA members. Prepare the layout and submit to PSA President for final approval. Building communication within the school and community. Working with School Principal, staff and PSA to better reach our whole community via website, monthly newsletter, email and calendar updates.

Membership

The goal of the membership committee is to build an informed, active membership, familiar with the mission, objectives, policies, and programs of the PTA. The committee collects membership dues, distributes membership cards, and maintains a current membership list.
